Invisible during a screen share
The HUD requests OS-level content protection, so it's excluded from the actual video feed a screen share, recording, or screenshot captures, while staying fully visible on your own display the whole time. Dock/taskbar icon hiding and a private on-screen cursor (so even your mouse pointer doesn't show) round it out. See "Privacy" below for exactly how it works.
Meeting intelligence
Speaker-labeled live transcript from your microphone and system audio, with a concise suggested answer that starts drafting seconds before anyone finishes speaking.
Like a coworker in the room
It listens alongside you through meetings and presentations, remembers the job description, agenda, or context you've given it, and surfaces the next accurate thing to say before you have to go searching for it. Nerves and time pressure make people forget details they actually know — a real-time second set of ears catches what you'd have caught yourself with more time to think, so you come across prepared without memorizing everything in advance.

Interview prep & mock interviews
Generate likely questions, a cheat-sheet, and STAR stories from your résumé and the job description, then rehearse out loud with LeAna, a real-time voice-and-video AI interviewer. She rates and coaches each answer as you go, then gives you a full scored report at the end.
Visual intelligence
Capture just what's visible on screen, or take a full-page screenshot that automatically scrolls through and stitches together the entire page, including content that isn't currently showing, then bring it into the same conversation.
Video recording — watches things change, not just one frame
A single screenshot only ever catches one instant. Start a Video recording session, in or out of a meeting, and LuPa Helios keeps a rolling buffer of your screen over time instead: a diagram taking shape, a whiteboard filling in, code being written line by line. Ask a question, or click Explain Visual, and it reads the sequence in order and gives clear, spoken-ready feedback, the way a sharp colleague looking over your shoulder the whole time would.
Autopilot (Beta)
With your approval before it acts, Autopilot can take the mouse and keyboard to draw, demo, or perform on-screen actions for you, in or out of a meeting. Available now from the Autopilot icon in the desktop app HUD, currently in beta and being refined, with full production readiness coming soon.
Teleprompter Overlay
A free-standing companion app for presentations, sales calls, and interviews. Step through your script one line at a time with Glance mode or let Scroll mode auto-advance it, while live word-tracking listens to your own speech and highlights exactly where you are, matched to your own speaking pace. Clicks pass straight through it, and it can dock beneath the main HUD so both move together.
Job-aware answers
Save a job description and company name for each role from the desktop app, then pick the right one before a meeting: the assistant uses it to judge what the employer is actually looking for.
Conversation memory
Past turns are recalled automatically, so later answers stay consistent with what was already said or decided.
Choose your model
Route requests to the OpenAI or Anthropic model that fits the moment: fast for live back-and-forth, deeper for technical detail.

Built to stay out of the frame

This is the core of what LuPa Helios is: an assistant that's fully visible to you and fully out of the picture for everyone else. You get live guidance on your own screen; whoever you're presenting to, calling, or sharing your screen with sees exactly what you'd have shown them anyway.

Excluded from the captured feed

The HUD requests OS-level content protection when it opens. That's a real, platform-level instruction to the operating system to leave this window out of whatever a screen share, a screen recording, or a screenshot actually captures. It isn't a blur, an overlay trick, or something a viewer could notice if they looked closely: the window is excluded from the captured image itself, on your side, before it ever reaches whatever app or service is doing the capturing.

You still see everything, always

Content protection only changes what a capture sees, never what your own eyes see. The HUD stays transparent, frameless, and always on top of your other windows on your own display, the entire time you're sharing your screen with someone else.

No Dock or taskbar icon

Turn on Dock/taskbar icon hiding in Settings and LuPa Helios stops showing up as a running app to glance at, too, so there's nothing in the icon tray to draw a second look. It's still fully visible to you in Activity Monitor or Task Manager the whole time, like any other program: this hides the icon someone glancing at your screen might see, not the process itself.

Even your cursor is covered

Hovering the HUD swaps your real mouse pointer for a private, on-screen marker rendered inside the same protected window, so the pointer itself doesn't leak into a shared screen while you're using the controls.

Where this matters

  • Sales calls: glance at your own coaching without your screen looking crowded or distracting to the client you're presenting to.
  • Presentations and live Q&A: keep your talking points and answers in view while the audience only ever sees your slides.
  • Interviews: the same protection covers the desktop HUD and the standalone Teleprompter Overlay alike.

Protection works through the standard screen-share and recording paths on both macOS and Windows. It covers software capture, the thing a screen share or a recording app actually does; it was never going to stop a physical camera pointed at a monitor, and that's true of any software on any platform. LuPa Helios is built for consent-based use: meeting capture only starts when you press Start, and it records other participants' audio, not just yours, so notify participants and obtain consent where required by law or policy. Do not use LuPa Helios to evade monitoring, proctoring, consent, or platform rules.
